Sarah Harrier, MS, LMFT, CCTP

Owner, Therapist, LLMFT Supervisor

I am a fully licensed marriage and family therapist, and certified clinical trauma professional, specializing in individual, couples, and family therapy. I maintain a private practice in both Brighton and Okemos, Michigan.

I earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Alma College before moving to the State of Washington to pursue a master's degree in marriage and family therapy from Seattle Pacific University.

My hobbies and interests include: spending time with my husband, kids, and animals (2 dogs and 3 cats), crocheting, reading, and exercising.

My Approach

I work with clients who experience a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, low self-esteem, marital or relationship concerns (specifically helping clients heal from infidelity and/or poor connection and communication skills), grief and loss of any kind, and poor relationship with food and body image. I also work with the LGBTQ+ community regarding a multitude of concerns including struggles both individually and in a family unit with gender dysphoria, creating and maintaining healthy and safe support systems, and finding acceptance with one's sexuality.

I practice from an eclectic approach, which incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), internal family systems model (IFS), solution-focused therapy, experiential therapy, client-centered therapy, and strength-based therapy.
