At this time, it is still preferable for the sake of health and safety that clients meet for sessions via a HIPAA-compliant Telehealth service (provided by therapist) to minimize exposure to the virus for all parties involved in treatment.
For clients who are only able to engage in face-to-face meetings, Blue Lotus Therapy Services LLC is following the health and safety recommendations for client care provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
These recommendations include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining social distancing in the lobby by asking clients to stay in their vehicle, or 6+ feet apart from others while waiting outside the office building, then calling to inform the therapist of the client's arrival.
Clients must wash their hands upon entering the building. Therapist will also provide hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol for client's use.
Therapist will conduct a health screening questionnaire and take the client's temperature using a touchless thermometer upon entering the office space. Both the answers to the questions as well as the temperature will be documented.
Both therapist and client will wear a mask while in the office space. If a client does not have a mask, therapist will provide one for the client's use.
Physical contact (i.e. hand shakes) is not permitted.
Additionally, therapist will conduct a thorough cleaning before and after the arrival of each client to the office space. The office will be professionally cleaned on a weekly basis.
If you have any questions about how Blue Lotus Therapy Services LLC is addressing in-office health and safety related to the COVID-19 pandemic, please reach out to Sarah Harrier, MS LMFT, to address these concerns.
